Foundation and Licensing
Kings University was granted a provisional license by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission (NUC) on March 4, 2015. Before officially opening its doors, a dedicated Implementation Committee (IPC) was established under the chairmanship of Prof. Sola Akinrinade (pioneer VC of Osun State University) to draft the strategic blueprint that guides the institution today.
Academic activities officially commenced on February 1, 2016, at our temporary site located at Km 7 Gbongan – Oshogbo Road. At inception, the university was powered by 67 dedicated academic and non-academic staff members, welcoming a pioneer class of 88 matriculated students. To date, we are proud to have successfully graduated multiple sets of high-achieving individuals.

We operate as a high-tech campus where technology meets tradition. Our mission to generate and disseminate knowledge is supported by:
- KULMS: A fully deployed Learning Management System for virtual engagement.
- Smart Classrooms: Fitted with multimedia projectors to support mobile and interactive learning.
- Campus Connectivity: Robust internet and intranet facilities for staff and students.
Professionalism & Entrepreneurship
At Kings University, a degree is only the beginning. Our graduates are imbued with professional certifications (such as ICAN and I.T. global certifications) and hands-on entrepreneurial training in fields like Fashion Design, Paint Production, and Bead Making. This unique blend of academic and vocational training ensures our graduates are self-reliant and ready to lead.
