The Chancellor

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo is the Chancellor of Kings University, Odeomu, Osun State, the founder, Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) – one of the most influential Pentecostal churches in Europe, and the visionary behind Kings University. Since founding KICC in London in 1992 with just eleven members, he has built a global ministry spanning church planting, media broadcasting, leadership training, and humanitarian outreach across Africa, Europe, and beyond.

A prolific author of over 100 books on leadership, faith, and personal transformation, Pastor Ashimolowo has dedicated his life to raising leaders of character and competence. It was this same passion for human capital development that inspired the establishment of Kings University in 2015: an institution committed to producing graduates who combine academic excellence with strong moral and spiritual values.

As Chancellor, Pastor Ashimolowo provides the spiritual vision and strategic direction that continue to shape Kings University's identity as a faith-based university dedicated to raising "quality leaders that will transform Nigeria and sustain her as a technologically advanced nation." He personally contributes intellectually to the university through his yearly Chancellor Lecture Series, which are known to challenge, rewire, and propel both staff members and students to live more purposeful and effective lives.
