REQUIREMENTS /QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
General Requirements
  1. Applicants must possess a good honours Degree with a minimum of second-class lower division in a relevant field from a recognized institution, with additional qualifications such as Master’s and PhD (where applicable).
  2. NYSC discharge/exemption/exclusion certificate is mandatory.
  3. Applicants must be registered with the relevant regulatory Association in Nigeria and possess a current practising license where required.
DEPARTMENT of Nursing SCIENCES
Professor
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
  • RN and one other nursing qualification registerable by Nursing Council of Nigeria
  • Possession of PhD (Nursing) from a University recognised by the Senate of Kings University. Candidate with M.Sc. in Nursing and PhD in other related field may also apply.
  • Possession of NYSC discharge certificate or Exemption Certificate.
  • Extensive and outstanding University Teaching and Administrative experience for at least twelve years; and must not be less than Associate Professor Grade or equivalent from the previous place of appointment.
  • Evidence of successful supervision of postgraduate students will normally be required.
  • Outstanding research and scholarly publications of not less than twenty (20) in recognised acceptable and reputable national journals.
Reader
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
  • RN and one other nursing qualification registerable by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
  • Possession of PhD (Nursing) from a University recognised by the Senate of Kings University. Candidates with M. Sc. In Nursing and PhD in other related field may also apply.
  • Possession of NYSC discharge certificate or Exemption certificate.
  • Must have not less than Ten (10) scholarly publications in recognised and reputable journals
