Christian Centre (KICC) in 2015. The University commenced academic activities in March

The University hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the under-
listed vacant positions:
Systems Programmer
The Systems Programmer will be responsible for installing and modifying the institution’s existing
system software. He/she will prepare to install the software by studying its technical capabilities
and operations. The ideal programmer will be able to handle the vast majority of task scheduling,
file system, memory management, and input/output requirements of the system.
Skills
Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
Proficient with at least the following programming languages: PHP and Javascript and
Ruby on Rails
Good understanding of relational database systems (MySQL), Object Oriented
Programming, and Web application development
Basic knowledge of Search engine optimization
Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and
budgets with business acumen
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse
web technologies and techniques.
Qualifications and Experience Required for the Position
Possession of a good first degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical and Electronics
Engineering, Informatics, or related disciplines from are cognized institution with a
minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division)
Recognised Professional qualifications such as CISCO
2 years of cognate experience
Network Administrator
A Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing an organization’s computer systems or
database networks to ensure proper maintenance and security. Their duties include working with
other IT staff and company employees to identify network or computer system needs, overseeing
the installation of new hardware or software and using employee feedback to isolate issues.
Qualifications and Experience Required for the Position
Possession of a good first degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical and Electronics
Engineering, Informatics, or related disciplines from are cognized institution with a
minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division)
Recognised Professional qualifications such as CISCO
2 years of cognate experience
Technologist for Mass Communication
Oversees the use of various media equipment, including video, film, photographic and audio
equipment. May oversee or operate highly technical or complex equipment, such as multi-media
and computer projection equipment.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication or any related discipline.
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in radio and television broadcasting or a production studio
capacity.
Membership of a certified professional body.
Adept user of Microsoft office suite.
Proficiency in the use of audio and video editing software like adobe audition, adobe
premiere pro, after effect and final cut for post-production in iMac and Windows computers.
Ability to effectively operate the audio -video mixer consoles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Must have strong research skills, presentation skills & notable attention to detail.
Internal Auditor
An Internal Auditor is professional who ensures organisations have accurate accounting throughout
the year. They ensure that other accounting teams follow proper procedures and that all accounts
are updated and accurate.
Requirements and skills
Proven working experience as Internal Auditor
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Sound independent judgement
B.Sc. degree in Accounting or Finance or its equivalent
2-3 years of cognate experience
Director of Works
The Director is the head of the Directorate and coordinates the affairs of all the other Technical
Units and he is directly responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the works and maintenance of the
University.
Be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration and control of all the
sections in the Directorate of Works.
Coordinate provision of water, electricity distribution, garbage removal and maintenance of
utility systems and building.
Preparing and approve specifications for contracted purchase of replacement of parts and
new equipment for all areas of the institution.
Ensure lawns are mowed, flowers, weeds and tree branches are trimmed periodically and
well maintained.
Coordinate the activities of drivers and maintenance of official vehicles
Identify requirement for annual maintenance, budget, preparing recommendations for capital
projects renovation expenditures and anticipating long-term issues.
Prioritized work by scheduling repairs and maintenance based on Faculty needs, age of
facilities and the order in which work request are received.
Ensure timely completion of all tasks by providing direction to Engineers, Technicians,
Supervisors, Gardeners, Cleaners and other Vendors
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Vice-Chancellor
Qualification Requirements
Must have a minimum of First Degree in Engineering or Architecture with at least 20 years
post-qualification experience.
Must be a professionally qualified Engineer or Architect and a registered member of
relevant professional bodies such as COREN or ARCON.
Salary and Allowance
Kings University Operates a Salary Structure and Condition of Service comparable to what obtains
in the Nigerian University System.
