Kings University, Odeomu, has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run additional undergraduate programmes effective from 2023/2024 academic session. The University named the approved undergraduate programmes as Nursing Science, Public Health and Medical Laboratory Science all in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. Mr. Dare Julius Remi is currently a Doctoral student of Onabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye , with a research focus on Statistical Modelling. He graduated from the University of Lagos with a second-class upper first degree in Mathematics. He proceeded to the same University for his M.Sc. degree in Statistics.

He is currently a member of some professional bodies (Royal Statistical Society Nigerian Group, Nigerian Statistical Association, and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) He has served on many statutory platforms including the Students Mobilization Committee, University Cafeteria Committee, and Hall of residence Committee.

His current research include: Fitting highly dispersed count data using sichel generalized linear mixed models. Investigating speed and flexibility features of glmmTMB among packages for zero inflated generalized linear mixed models.
