The University named the approved undergraduate programmes as Nursing Science, Public Health and Medical Laboratory Science all in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. Thonda Oluwakemi is a Lecturer and researcher with interests in Molecular biology, Microbial genomics and antimicrobial resistance, she is a Ph.D holder in Medical Microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She has published several papers in reputable international journals.  She is a reviewer of manuscripts for publication. My research activities focus on the detection of antibiotic resistance genes and virulence factors in some clinical bacterial isolates. Evaluation of medicinal plants for therapeutic potentials against antibiotic resistant clinical and environmental bacterial pathogens.
